Our Tekla Training portfolio includes in depth hands on online training on Tekla Structural Steel Fundamentals and Tekla Structural Designer. Course contents includes modules like Tekla Structures for Bridge Designers, Concrete Contractors, Rebar Detailers and BIM fundamentals.
Tekla allows structural drafters and engineers to design a building structure and its components using 3D modeling, generate 2D drawings and access building information. Tekla Structures was formerly known as Xsteel (X as in X Window System, the foundation of the Unix GUI).
Tekla Structures uses the work point of a component to calculate check dimensions and part position dimensions in drawings. To change the position of the work point, go to the Picture tab. The default position is the point where the two main parts intersect: Was this helpful?
Tekla Structures is one of the most capable and advanced BIM software in its field, but the downside to this is thatit takes a little longer to learnas it has more tools, settings, possibilities, and opportunities for customization.
